What Happens during the KWP Senior Sessions
Let’s be honest—getting in front of the camera can feel a little intimidating especially for Senior Sessions.
That’s why every part of a KWP senior session is designed to help you feel confident and most like you.
That’s where I step in! I love helping people feel seen and understood. By the time we meet for your session, I want to feel like an old friend already.
From custom Seint makeup to your final image reveal, here’s a look behind the scenes at what makes a KWP experience so special.
Step 1: The Style & Planning Chat
Before we even pick up the camera for your senior session, we’ll hop on a call or meet in person to go over outfits, locations, and the overall feel you’re going for. I want to get to know you, your style, and even how you’re feeling. Are you nervous, excited, or intimidated? I’ll be asking questions to help uncover your hopes and even your fears. My goal is to understand your needs.
Pro Tip: Selecting locations that hold meaning for you makes your session that much more personal.
Step 2: Professional Seint Makeup
Every KWP senior session includes natural, glowy makeup using Seint, so you feel polished but still like yourself. My goal isn’t to change how you look—it’s to highlight what already makes you beautiful. I’m always up for applying natural lashes and giving a glam look, but that’s totally up to you, and if you’re particular and comfortable about your makeup routine, I’m all about helping each other create the finished look you want.
Bonus: If you can’t decide on outfit choices on the day off, bring all of them. We’ll look them over and I’ll help you decide on what works best.
Step 3: Your Session Day

By this point, we’ve already spent time together—talking, getting ready, and breaking the ice—so you’re not stepping in front of a stranger’s camera. You’re stepping into a space where you feel know
We’ll meet at your first location, and I’ll guide you through every pose and prompt so it never feels stiff or awkward. We’ll laugh, move around, and capture real emotion in motion (yes, I made that up—but it’s true!).
That’s how we get a mix of timeless and joy-filled images that show more than just your smile—they show your heart.
Step 4: The Big Reveal
About two weeks later, you’ll come in for your gallery reveal. This is where we’ll look through your images together and choose your favorite ones for your heirloom album, wall art, or print box. Then, I’ll work on your custom order and get your images ready to enjoy for a very long time!
